PAGCOR Regulatory Mandate & Player Protection

Responsible Gaming & 21+ Notice

Sports betting must remain a recreational pursuit. Under Philippine law (Presidential Decree No. 1869), betting is strictly prohibited for persons under 21 years old.

1. Strict Legal Age Requirements (21+)

Under regulations established by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), persons under the age of 21, government officials, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and active athletes/coaches in the competition are legally prohibited from placing sports bets.

2. Recognizing Problem Gambling

Ask yourself these critical evaluation questions:

  • Are you betting money set aside for rent, food, bills, or school tuition?
  • Do you find yourself chasing losses with larger bets to win back lost money?
  • Has sports betting caused arguments with your family, friends, or employer?
  • Do you feel anxious or unable to sleep when unable to place a bet on matchday?

3. National Self-Exclusion & Emergency Help Lines
